Throughout the process, the teacher and classmates helped me a lot about the ideas to approach the assignment. To be honest, I thought Step Brother is a "weird" film to write about at first because all the curses and jokes that are not really funny in my opinions. . The most difficult parts of the process was to generate the ideas about the parenting of Nancy and Robert from all conflicts and the jokes in the movie. Because it's easy for people to get distracted by all the comedic scenes and sometimes some sexual scenes. But I jumped right into do some list that I should write about and followed that directions. Then I started reviewing what I have had in class and did some searches. This way makes me go in the right path and not get distracted by other thoughts. I think this is a good way for myself to approach an assignment from now on. I also try to write the assignment as soon as I got the assignment sheet because it gives me the feeling not getting behind to not rushing my thoughts. It was really good approach. I chose the topic about all the scene that Nancy and Robert had the wrong way of growing kids. In this way, audience can see the specific example about the wrong parenting so my writing can be more persuasive. This is about the quote " Show don't tell" that I have learned in my class. By the time I revise this assignment, I will focus on grammar and do more research to improve my thesis. I also do all this things with my tutor and ask for people advice.
This is my new six-step plans: - List all the directions should I follow in the first process and keep follow it. - Start the process as soon as possible. - Do more research to improve claims. - Be patient about writing. - Review people ideas with my ideas to get a best statement. - Ask people for help and advice.

" Step brothers" is about two middle age man who are Brennan Huff (Will Ferrell) and Dale Doback (John C. Reilly) still live with their parents. They are both unemployed and lazy. Things turn to be weird when their parents get married and they live together in the same room. They humiliate and fight each other to protect their own space and personality. But adventurously, they start sharing in common things. Their competition pull their new family apart and force them to get real jobs. At the end, they finally know their real bonds between each other and work together to reunite their parents. The film is all about American jokes that I think I can understand 90%. There are a few unnecessary scenes but the rest of it is interesting and straight forward comedy. But the deeper meaning of the movie about not loosing your dream. Three of the meaning quote I gained after the movie are: Don't lose your dinosaur (Dr. Robert Doback) - The quote is about not to loose the dream Listen, I know that we started out as foe. But after that courageous act that you showed me against the one they call Derek, maybe someday we could become friends. Friends who ride majestic, translucent steeds, shooting flaming arrows across the bridge of Hemdale. - The quote shows the bonds between those two My little brother is even a bigger asshole than you are. (Brennan Huff). - The quote shows the first bond between two people used to consider each other as a opponent. I watched The Fundamentals Of Caring at home when I didn’t have nothing to do then. I got attracted right after I saw the title of it. I also saw my favorite actor in the movie who is Raul Rudd. Rudd plays Ben Benjamin, a newly-certified caretaker who begins his career taking care of Trevor Conklin, played by Welsh actor Craig Roberts. Trevor Conklin is an 18 years old man with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Ben finds the common things between Trevor and him after a short period of time after various conversation and pranks and earns Trevor’s respect. However, Ben is struggling with his wife, who wants desperately for him to sign divorce papers, and the death of his son three years prior. Ben proposes the idea of going to visit all of the landmarks even though Trevor spends all of his time in his house and has never been an hour from his house. After convincing Trevor's mother, they prepare to go on the first trip ever of Trevor’s life. Along the way, they meet Dot, played by Selena Gomez. She is wild and adventurous. She is running away from home and is hitchhiking on her way to Denver when the two men decide to let her go with them. They also meet Peaches, a pregnant woman whose car breaks down on the highway, and she comes along as well. A lot of funny things happens on the road to these people such as Trevor has his first Slim Jim ever, he has a first stand-peeing or he pretends to imitate choking to scare Ben to death. The theme of the film is about the solid relationship between parents and children, friends and friends. I was touched when I see how a disable teenager like Trevor discover the world the first time of his 18 years. He has a lot of the “first times” that only Ben can bring to him. |
